The Marsalis family is known throughout every household in New Orleans. Musical talent struck this family, including Delfeayo Marsalis (son of Ellis Marsalis), who is known for his “technical excellence, inventive mind and frequent touches of humor,” according to Leonard Feather of the Los Angeles Times. Delfeayo Marsalis attended New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and Berkley College of Music, and he regularly tours the country wowing fans everywhere with his talent.
About the project
The site design for Delfeayo Marsalis is inspired by the design of his CD “Sweet Thunder.” The design is a throwback to classic style as the musician’s inspiration for the CD was found in William Shakespeare and Duke Ellington. The classic throwback is represented by the vintage textures as well as Duke Elington’s hand written score and earthy jewel tones. The website is built using the WordPress CMS engine so all updates can be made through an easy-to-use back end with no prior knowledge of
